Our Aim

Our aim is to provide clients with the best possible value in all aspects of TV and Film production. From casting to crewing, finding locations, and scheduling. Each detail of the project will be carefully planned and executed to the highest standards.

How We Started

Roadworks Media is the brainchild of Quince Garcia. Established in 2009, it has a remit to challenge, question and analyse our perceptions of the world as well as our societies at large. Our knowledge and experience cover all aspects of production: Pre-production, filming, post-production, marketing and media project management. By utilising our unique qualities we aim to establish a fresh look at the film production industry. Maintaining the through line: entertain, inspire, educate and enlighten a variety of audiences.

The Founders

Hello my name is Quince Garcia and I am the managing director of Roadworks Media. The company officially set up in February 2009 but I have been making films long before. A challenging past, with drugs, guns and gangs has enabled me to be more determined and confident to pursue what I used to believe in, but could not achieve. The thought of being able to make films for my own production company at a particular stage in my life would have been laughable. My experience with prison, however, made me want to change. When I came out I thought the only option was to develop my creativity. I made the decision of distancing myself away from negative affiliations that could tempt me back into a life of crime. I felt it was time to go through an education process in what it was I wanted to pursue. My time at university was amazing and I gained so much from the experience, not only as an artist but also as an individual. Support for Roadworks Media has been gratefully received and I believe the creative projects it produces will always pay homage to how the company developed as a whole. The aim for RoadWorks is to continue creating projects that associates itself with the brand's message.

I have been involved with film and theatre since 2005, writing, producing, performing and directing. Spending a year studying directing at The London Drama Centre, taught me the basics of movement psychology and effort production as developed by at Yat Malmgren and Christopher Fettes. In 2005 I volunteered at The BRITDOC film festival. This was my foot in the door and since then I have worked closely with BRITDOC, Shooting People and VIZUMI an Arts Alliance Media company. I have produced and directed numerous short films to date and am continually working on new and exciting projects. I am motivated to question film's position in society and its role as an educative tool. We live in a time where political correctness, positive and negative discrimination of all kinds are viewed as taboo and as a result we are unable to discuss, analyse, criticise or learn of any social happenings without infringing on someone's sensitivity. My aim to produce an art form that can transcend all social norms and bigotry to create an experience that will take another look at our own perceptions of the world and of people.
